Strongly thought I should go this route.

I may get magnetic decals of the logo for the door.

Would be cool, although not sure how that would go with the original blue, if you decide to go for that. What you really do need are 3 license plates. One for the front and two for the rear. Like this:

This is weird. I know that you can get a third Dutch plate for light trailers but I have never heard about this? Too recessed to meet the visibility requirements?

Did you manage to get an answer from Sylvain for DS parts?

Yes, but he couldn’t understand my crappy French, so I need to go back to him with photos and part numbers, and at this point everything I’m working on is custom welding. I want to get that done, first, and then hunt for parts.

Also, the paint tag (circular plate riveted to the firewall) for my car is missing, so I don’t know what colors my car is supposed to be originally.

What is your SN#? You should be able to find it fairly easily through “le conservatoire Citroen”... Just give them a little call, give them your “VIN” (though it’s not really a VIN, but let’s call it like that) and it shouldn’t take them long to figure out your original color...

Also my guess is that if your rear hatch and pillars are still from the original color, you have an Ac084 color code for the body and AC088 for the roof combo, which were colors used in 1975.

AC084 is called “Ivoire Borely” and AC088 is called “Blanc Meije”

So one is visible with the lower hatch open.

No idea; it’s all been repainted. I will cough up 60 Euro for a heritage cert.

I e-mailed with that info, and they want me to pay.

That’s a 1st gen, so the bumper designs are a bit different.

See it as a prerunner to the Range Rover with the flip down license plate, which can be used when driving with the trunk open with the split hatch. With this one you can always see the license plate independent of the position of the boot. The plate lights have even been put at a slope in order to light both plates at once. I think it is a really cool low tech solution.
